F-1 and J-1 students should always notify ISSS before discontinuing their program, withdrawing from the University, or if they have changed statuses.
For students who are discontinuing their program or withdrawing from the University, you should submit this request and have your SEVIS record terminated before you withdraw/drop your classes. Besides notifying ISSS, you should also contact your Academic Advisor(s) and the University Registrar.
